I Spy Travel Game

Traveling with the little ones during the Holidays can be crazy. I am planning ahead and packing all the essential toys and snacks we need to get through our flight in a few weeks to California.

I created a simple I Spy Travel Game for my twin boys. They are into the spy books and enjoy finding different cartoon characters on each page. I wanted to create a simple and portable new toy for my guys without spending too much money.

I started by saving two mini water bottles. Let them dry over night to get the moisture out. I selected fun Christmas themed buttons and silver bells from the craft store.

I'm used jasmine rice and a plastic funnel to help pour the rice inside the water bottle.

Pour half a cup of rice inside the bottle, fill with buttons and bells and cover with the remaining rice. Seal top with glue. (I sealed it with glue because, I don't want my little boys to open the top and empty the bottle of rice.)

Since, it's the Holidays and traveling can be hectic and tiring for anyone. I decided to attach a simple PSA Essentials Peel and Stick "Oh Happy Day!" sentiment to remind us that regardless...where we are - we can make the best out of anything because we are a family. It's going to be a happy day no matter what.

This is so cute! My son already has a couple of these I Spy bottles, but he loves them all. Maybe I need to make another one just for Christmas!

Thank you for sharing your fun holiday themed I Spy Bottles! You have a beautiful presentation. One thing that's stopped me from making one before is I thought it would be expensive to gather all the little goodies for inside. What a great idea to use buttons!

Thank you for sharing with us on A Crafty Soiree, the weekly linky party I co-host with Yesterday on Tuesday. I'm pleased to let you know I've selected your project to feature in this week's newest one. It will be up on my blog at midnight EST Thursday. Please come by and see if when you can and share more of your crafty skills.
